The short version
- The app runs entirely on your phone. Your prompts, documents, photos, conversations, and memories never leave your device and are never sent to us.
- There's no account and no sign-up. We don't know who you are.
- We collect no analytics and no telemetry from the app — no usage tracking, no crash profiles tied to you, nothing.
- We never sell or share your information, and we don't run advertising.
- The only personal data we ever receive is an email address you choose to give us (to join the waitlist or contact support), used only to reply to you.
What happens on your device
Incognitive is an on-device AI assistant. The language model and all of its processing run locally on your phone's own hardware. That means:
- Everything you type, every file or photo you attach, and every reply the assistant generates is processed on your device.
- Your conversation history and any "memories" the assistant keeps are stored in your phone's own storage. We have no copy and no way to access them.
- There is no cloud account syncing your content anywhere. If you delete the app, that data is gone with it.
Because we never receive this information, we cannot read it, hand it over, or lose it in a breach.
When the app connects to the internet
Incognitive is designed to work fully offline, but a few optional actions require a connection. The app only reaches the network when a feature genuinely needs it, and never silently:
- First-time model download. When you set up the app, it downloads the AI model once from a content server. This transfers the model to you; it does not send us your personal data.
- Web search. If you use the optional web search feature, the app connects at your request to fetch current results. Only the search terms needed to perform the search are sent to the search provider — your documents, files, and conversation history are not.
- Saving the web for offline use. If you ask the app to download articles or references for offline reading, it fetches that public content while you're connected.
- App updates. Updates are delivered through the Apple App Store or Google Play, governed by their respective privacy policies.
Subscriptions and payments
If Incognitive offers a paid plan, purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your payment details go to them, not to us — we never see or store your card information. To view, change, or cancel a subscription, use your device's subscription settings.
This website
The site you're reading is a static marketing page. We've kept it as lean as the app:
- No advertising or analytics cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, ad pixels, or similar trackers, and the site doesn't set cookies to follow you.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect against abuse, under GitHub's own privacy practices.
- Waitlist. If you submit your email to join the early-access waitlist, we use it solely to contact you about Incognitive. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
Contacting support
When you email support@incognitive.ai, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, so we can help you. Support email is delivered through an email-forwarding service that routes messages to our inbox. We use this information only to respond to your request.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never use your content to build an advertising profile.
- We never access the contents of your on-device conversations — we have no technical means to.
Your choices and rights
Because your content lives on your device, you're in control of it directly — deleting a conversation, a memory, or the app removes that data. For the limited email information we may hold (waitlist or support), you can ask us to access or delete it at any time by emailing support@incognitive.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we'll honor valid requests under applicable law.
Children's privacy
Incognitive is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal data and requires no account, there's nothing for us to collect in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Incognitive handles data, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
